アメイジング・タイランド・グローバル・タイシルク展

Princess Hiromiは、タイ国政府観光庁が主催する「アメイジング・タイランド・グローバル・タイシルク展」に、100カ国以上のデザイナーとともにドレスを出品しています。2026年IMF・世界銀行グループ年次総会のタイ開催にあわせ、現代ファッションを通じて世界の多様な文化的アイデンティティを称える展覧会です。

2022年のAPECに続いて参加した島津洋美は、黒いタイシルクに石川県の和紙を用いた新素材の生地を合わせたドレスを制作しました。飛鳥時代から水引を受け継ぐ家元を訪ね、日本の伝統である水引のモチーフを取り入れ、黒いタイシルクにゴールドを重ねることで、内観の中に灯る光を表現しています。

Princess Hiromi is exhibiting a dress at the Tourism Authority of Thailand's "Amazing Thailand Global Thai Silk Exhibition," alongside designers from more than 100 countries.

 

 

Held in conjunction with the 2026 IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings in Thailand, the exhibition celebrates cultural identities from around the world through contemporary fashion.

 

 

Following her participation in APEC 2022, Hiromi Shimazu created a dress that combines black Thai silk with a new fabric made from Ishikawa washi paper. Inspired by the Japanese tradition of mizuhiki, which she studied by visiting a master whose family has carried on the craft since the Asuka period, she layered gold over the black silk to express a light glowing within.
